Members of the DigEntre project team and other interested participants gained valuable insights into modern data processing and interpretation methods for research purposes.
The workshop was divided into two parts. The first segment focused on qualitative research methods, during which Dr. Thomas shared his experience in utilizing multiple data sources, conducting interviews, and analyzing data using coding techniques. Discussions addressed the challenges of maintaining the credibility of qualitative research results and the criteria for selecting interview participants.
The second part of the workshop covered quantitative methods, emphasizing structural equation modeling techniques, including Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and Covariance-Based Structural Equation Modeling (CB-SEM). Participants also discussed the use of AI-supported tools in data analysis, which are becoming an essential component of research methodology.
Additionally, Dr. Thomas introduced the Dynamic Capabilities Theory and its relevance to digitalization research in entrepreneurship. Both the Dynamic Capabilities Theory and the Resource-Based View (RBV) are key concepts for understanding resilience and digital transformation in small and medium-sized enterprises.
This workshop provided the DigEntre team and participants with an opportunity to expand their knowledge and approaches in digital entrepreneurship research, underscoring the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to tackling modern business challenges.
