eDESK Kick Off Meeting held

On Wednesday, May 19, 2021, the online kick-off meeting of the project eDESK: Digital and Entrepreneurial Skills for European Teachers in the COVID-19 World, funded under Erasmus+ programme KA226 Partnerships for Digital Education Readiness, was hosted by the project coordinator - the University of Cantabria Foundation for Study and Research in the Financial Sector.

Together with the coordinator, the project partners - Faculty of Organization and Informatics (Croatia), University of Cantabria (Spain), University of Lisbon (Portugal) and Lappeenranna-Lahti University of Technology (Finland), managed to achieve the meeting goals of getting to know the teams involved and to make the initial coordination of the activities and expected results that will enable them to explore, teach and implement the changes described as project objectives.

Although the project team at FOI, led by prof. dr. sc. Blaženka Divjak will be actively involved in all project results it will especially be dedicated to activities within WP4 Conception of the digital learning itinerary, content and resources led by University of Cantabria (ES). Also, FOI team will lead the WP6 Delivery of the pilot e-desk that will include institutional set-up, assistance to the educators, program management, support in training activities delivery and evaluation. Educators from the 4 HEIs, previously trained within the project will be able to select one program already being implemented in their institution and adapt it to the hybrid teaching method, or design a new program based on the e-DESK hybrid teaching methodology developed. Within WP6, FOI team will be also working on the validation of the course methodology based on the results of the undertaken pilots.

The project duration is 24 months (March 2021 - February 2023) and is financed in the total amount of 237,085.00 EUR.
