The Erasmus+ project AMED has ended

Today, on the 14th Jul 2022, the Erasmus+ KA2.2 project “AMED: Advancing higher education in Maldives through E-learning” has ended. The Faculty of Organization and Informatics was the project coordinator of the aforementioned project.

The main objective of this capacity building project in the field of higher education, which started in 2019, was to modernize, improve accessibility and internationalization of higher education in Maldives by improving competencies and skills, as well as developing a new and innovative educational programme in the field of e-learning at the Dhivehi Raajeyge Qaumee University. Alongside the already mentioned university, project partners were also Universitat Oberta de Catalunya from Spain and CARNET: Croatian Academic and Research Network. 

FOI team members were the project coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Igor Balaban, Ph.D., Full Prof. Nina Begičević Ređep, Ph.D., Full Prof. Dragutin Kermek, Ph.D., Asst.Prof. Bojan Žugec, Ph.D., Asst. Prof. Goran Hajdin, Ph.D., Asst. Prof. Nikola Kadoić, Ph.D., Aleksandra Sobodić, Ph.D., Petra Vodnra, M.Inf., Josipa Bađari, M.A., Darko Grabar, M.Inf. and Vika Kerekeš, M.J. 

At the end of the project, the achieved results were presented: 

  • developed, tested and adjusted educational programmes, courses, educational materials and tools which prompt ICT use in education; 
  • developed new forms of learning, providing education and training with a focus on the strategic use of open and flexible learning, virtual mobility, open educational resources and a better use of ICT potentials.

They also discussed impact and sustainability plans related to the project results and new projects which will prolong their cooperation.
