The initial online meeting of the Erasmus+ project SuMoS was held

On 4th October, 2024, 2024 from 13:00 to 14:30, the initial online meeting of the Erasmus+ project SuMoS - Strengthening the ecosystem for sustainable student mobility was held.

All project partners participated in the meeting, - the leading partner, the University of Zagreb Faculty of Organization and Informatics (Croatia); University of Maribor Faculty of Organizational Sciences from Kranj (Slovenia); University of Belgrade, Faculty of Organizational Sciences (Serbia); Žilina University of Žilina, Faculty of Management and Informatics (Slovakia) and ESIEA, Graduate School of Engineering ESIEA (France).

The project coordinator is Assoc. Prof. Katarina Pažur Aničić, while the rest of the members of of the FOI team are: Full Prof. Blaženka Divjak, Full Prof. Vjeran Strahonja, Assoc. Prof. Martina Tomičić Furjan, Izabela Oletić Tušek, univ. spec. pol., Darko Grabar, mag.inf., Barbi Svetec, mag. educ. philol. croat., mag. educ. philol. Eng., Karlo Nadoveza, mag. oec. and Martina Đuras Sekovanić, mag. oec.

The SuMoS project was designed with the broader goal of strengthening the institutional ecosystem for strategic, structured and sustainable cooperation between higher education institutions in the field of student mobility through the development and purposeful use of green practices, digital tools and curriculum comparison approaches. It is a joint initiative around 5 specific goals of 5 partners from 4 EU countries and 1 candidate country.

Expected results of the SuMoS project are as follows:

  • Recommendations for further development of International Student Mobility Ecosystem  - expected in September 2025.
  • Guidelines for upgraded procedures for student mobility at partner institutions with a catalog of green practices and a mobile student environmental footprint (MSEF) comparison tool – expected in February 2027.
  • Recommendations for comparing courses and curricula at partner institutions, based on similarity metrics and learning design – expected in June 2026.
  • Designed, tested and evaluated an innovative platform supported by artificial intelligence to support student mobility - expected in July 2027.

The project duration is 3 years, from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2027. Total project budget project budget is EUR 400,000.00 (Project ID: 2024-1-HR01-KA220-HED-000254853).

Kick-off meeting will be held in Varaždin, Croatia from 17th to 18th December 2024.
