Best research paper at this year's EDEN 2021 conference

This year's European distance and E-learning network – EDEN 2021 conference was held virtually 21-24 June, 2021. EDEN Best Research Paper Award 2021 was given to FOI PhD student Barbi Svetec, M. educ. philol. croat., M. educ. philol. eng. and her mentor prof. Blaženka Divjak, PhD for their research paper „Emergency responses to the COVID-19 crisis in education: A shift from chaos to complexity“.

We are very proud that their work was recognized among 67 research papers. They shared the first place with authors Claire Wladis, City University of New York, Alyse Hachey, University of Texas at El Paso i Katherine Conway, City University of New York who prepared a research paper called „Differences in academic resiliency when the pandemic forced courses online: Was prior online coursetaking protective?“.

Since 2008, EDEN has been continuously granting the Best Research Paper Award at the EDEN Annual Conferences as well as at the bi-annual EDEN Research Workshops. A high-quality standard selection process guarantees the branding of a distinguished and reputable award for scholarly conference papers in the field of open, distance and e-learning.
