Croatian Science Foundation – Open Calls IP, UIP and DOK

Calls in brief:

IP-2025-02:

• Principal Investigator: an active researcher with internationally recognized achievements and a history of successful mentoring of young researchers.
• Project funding duration: 3 years
• Funding per project: 60,000 EUR minimum, 200,000 EUR maximum

The Call is also open for submission of bilateral and multilateral project proposals in collaboration with Slovenian, Swiss and/or Czech research teams through the Weave initiative.

UIP-2025-02:

• Principal Investigator: early-career researcher that obtained their doctoral degree at least 2 and at most 10 years prior to the submission deadline, with an excellent track record and showing potential for leading a research team and developing new research topics and/or methodologies,
• Project funding duration: 5 years
• Funding per project: 125,000 EUR minimum, 300,000.00 EUR maximum

DOK-2025-02:

• Candidate for mentor: researcher who obtained their doctoral degree at least 2 years before the submission deadline, employed at an eligible organization, PI or team member of a competitive research project (funded through HRZZ, Horizon or other competitive sources). The Project should be ongoing for at least 18 months after the submission deadline.
• Funding period: 5 years in the case of scientific institutes, 6 years in the case of higher education institutions
• Eligible costs: total salary cost of research assistants.

The application deadline for all three calls is 24 February 2025, at 1:00 PM.

Applications must be submitted exclusively via the EPP system, which will be available at the beginning of February.
