WAI4PwDs project meeting held in Bulgaria

In Razlog (Bulgaria), 8th-10th September 2021, the initial meeting of the "Web Accessibility and other initiatives for persons with disabilities in EU in pandemic and other crisis times" – WAI4PwDs was held. The meeting was organized as a hybrid event, both online and in person.

The duration of the project is 24 months and total value of the project is € 136,080.00 funded from the Europe for Citizens programme. The project leader is the Regional Development Agency Srem (SER).The project coordinator is Bojana Lanc, and the project leader of FOI team is Assoc. Prof. Mario Konecki, PhD. Faculty of organization and informatics is one of the eigth project partners.

The aim of the project is to promote the right of persons with disabilities to access public, entertainment, tourism and educational facilities in Europe during the COVID 19 pandemic and in other crisis situations.

During the three days of the meeting, the partners had the opportunity to present their institutions, hear best practice examples, participate in group work and brainstorming to convey their motivation to participate in the project. Partners who attended physically had the opportunity for a study visit to the Daycare center for people with disabilities and the Sheltered House in Razlog and Bansko.
